2010 Membership Application
You don't have to race to be a member of Tripower. Just fill out the application and pay a small annual fee to get a year's supply of TP membership benefits. The requirements include wearing the team jersey on rides for our sponsors. (pdf, doc)
Race Data Sheet
Spreadsheet for keeping track of races and volunteer hours. If you don't have MS Office to open this file you might want to look into the free open-source office software suite at http://www.openoffice.org/ Reimbursement percentages are based on factors like number of races and number of volunteer hours contributed.
The List Serves on Yahoo Groups
To get your fill of racers' chatter contact the 4 Caster to be invited to the Tripower e-mail lists or use the form below. Manage your account at Yahoo Groups to do things like changing email delivery preferences. If you haven't set up a Yahoo account you can still make changes to your subscription using the links at the bottom every email sent from these accounts. There are now two new groups with the old group likely to be phased out since new members can't be added to that one. If you are on the lists and are not receiving TP email check your account is set for delivery to your desired email (i.e. not your yahoo email if you will not be checking that).
If you are on the lists but do not have a Yahoo ID to manage your subscription please follow these instructions to set up an ID and to link that account to the address where you receive TP email.

Cycling 101
USA Cycling - License
As a new racer (CATegory 5 for men, CATegory 4 for women, or Junior) you are permitted to race without a license by purchasing a one-day license at the event. However if you plan to race more than a few times a year it is more economical to purchase a yearly license and registration is simpler for both you and the promoters. Information about racing category upgrades and more cyling101 can also be found here.
VA Cycling Association
The schedule for Virginia road races (as well as cyclocross). Also has information on scoring for the Best All-round Rider and much more about racing in Virginia. If Tripower e-mails aren't enough to sate your new thirst for cycling you can also sign up for the VCA list serve on the main page. Also check Carolinas Cycling Association for NC & SC schedule, MABRA for MD, MAC for the big CX races, and VA ORS for the mountain bike schedule.

Pre-registration for most races is at BikeReg. The calendar at VCA will usually provide a link to the registration page for an event, but many races outside of Virginia can be found here.
